We originally learned "Itzikel" from the playing of Sligo fiddler Kevin Burke. He plays it very slowly as a lament. The tune is, at least in the Klezmer tradition, played as a freilach or dance tune. “Freilach” actually means something like “happy” or “merry.” In this video, from the televised We Are Takoma concert, we play both versions.

Although we started out playing exculsivly as three fiddles, we've started experimenting with other instrumentations. This is one of our first performances of the song "Pound a Week Rise" by Ed Pickford, filmed at the Washington Folk Festival.

In this video, we play a French rigaudon and classic Irish tune at our concert with Two Sisters at Seekers Church.
